Action for M.E.

Two of our P6 pupils Alanna and Samantha took part in a sponsored swim yesterday to raise money for Action for M.E.  This is a charity which is close to Samantha’s heart as her mum suffers from this debilitating auto immune disease.  Action for M.E. is the UK’s leading charity for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and their carers. Samantha and Alanna swam 100 lengths between them in just over an hour.

They have raised £485 in total so far due to their wonderful efforts and we are hoping to help them push that total even higher on Friday when we have our next Dress Down Day.  The money raised on Friday will be added to the girl’s total so we would massively appreciate your help.

Above are some photos of the girls in action yesterday in their swim.  Their families are immensely proud of them both as are we as a school.  Well done girls!  What superstars you both are!

Sports Day

A reminder that our joint Sports Day with St Andrew’s Fox Covert RC will take place tomorrow on the astro.  The potted sports will take place between 9.30 and 10.35 am approximately.

It would be extremely helpful if the children come to school wearing suntan lotion if it is a really sunny day as they will be outside for around two hours. The children should come to school dressed in their house colours if at all possible. They do not require to change into school uniform thereafter and can remain in their sports kit for the remainder of the school day.

Parents are very welcome as always to come along and support.  There will be a designated area for parents to spectate within on the day due to the space required for the activities to take place on the astro.  Teas and coffees will be available in the hall for parents during the break from 10.35 – 11.00 am approximately.  P4-7 class races will then take place between 11.00 and 11.30 am.

We look forward to seeing you there!  Let’s hope that the sun shines!
