Mrs Budge set the children another new reading challenge in assembly on the first week back.  This is a challenge which has been set for all of the children if they wish to participate and not just P4-7 pupils. The children can choose to bring in a photograph of them reading, or it can be emailed to admin@foxcovert.edin.sch.uk or share it with us on twitter @FoxCovertPS.

The challenge is below if you wish to take part. The last day to send in photos for this challenge will be Friday 10th February.

CHALLENGE!
Can you read a book…

About your favourite sport?
To a family member over the phone?
About a place you would like to visit?
In an interesting place?
With some treats?

Be as creative as you can!

A selection of the photos which we have received so far are below.  Looking forward to receiving lots more!!

Reading Challenge

Our whole school reading challenge was a great success before Christmas when the children were asked to take a picture of them reading a book in one of the ways described below.  A huge thank you to all of the children who took part in the challenge and to parents for supporting them by sending in their photo.  We are recording the children who are actively taking part in each of whole school challenges and will be giving out some prizes at the end of the year to celebrate and recognise their efforts.  Some more photos of the children are below.

CHALLENGE!
Can you read a book….?
To your pet?
With a good friend?

Be as creative as you can!
