Welcome Back!

Welcome-Back

We hope that you have all had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying the sunshine today before coming back to school tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing and welcoming all of our new and existing pupils.

We thought it might be helpful to share some information with you in regard to lining up prior to coming back in light of us having a wonderful new building which is going to be home to Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils.

Our new Primary 1 pupils will come into the building via the P1 door as was shared at the Parent Information evening in June. Staff will be at the P1 door to welcome the children in.

P2, P3, P3/4, P4 and P5 pupils will come into the building via the door which is closest to the Nursery building. Pupils should line up in their houses as normal. Staff will be out in the morning as normal to welcome the children into school.

P6 and P7 pupils should also line up in the area in front of the door closest to the Nursery building. However, they should line up as a class and not in their houses along with everyone else. They will be collected by Mrs Gallacher and Miss Hastie and will be walked round to their new class in the new building. Pupils should do this on Thursday and Friday morning too. Further arrangements as these change will be communicated.

Please bear with us in terms of playground space as our new sports pitch isn’t quite finished yet and so there will still be some fencing within the playground as there was prior to the end of the summer term. We are anticipating that this will be a very short-term arrangement.

We have a large number of uniform orders to be collected from the school office. Please feel free to pop into the school office where Mrs Thomson will be on hand to help you.

It would be extremely helpful if the children could ensure that they bring indoor shoes to wear in their classroom and also an outdoor sports kit from tomorrow. Thank you for your support with this.
